Sapa strives to ensure diversity, and is committed to recruiting, developing and retaining the best employees, irrespective of gender or background.

The Group strive for a wide range of experiences, cultural backgrounds, ages and sexes. Principles for the equal treatment of employees regardless of sex or origin are laid down in both the Code of Conduct and the guidelines for recruitment and wage-setting.

The issue of non-discrimination is included in the general working environment training. For instance, at Sapa Profiles North America's businesses in the USA, every employee undergoes annual training in the prevention of discrimination and harassment in the workplace.

Gender balance at Group management

The Group's objective is to increase the proportion of female manager. The overall percentage of women in managerial positions at Sapa is 16%. For several years, Sapa has worked systematically to promote a better gender balance in the Group management.
